Vnish L9 firmware

Installation

Instructions for installing Vnish L9 firmware:

Bitmain has closed the ability to install third-party firmware in the factory firmware starting from March 2024, you need to downgrade the factory firmware to an earlier version to install the VNISH L9 firmware.

FOR this: Download the bitmain recovery image for 21. (the archive contains images from the T21 amlogic and cvitek control boards). And follow the instructions below.

Instructions for installing the recovery image

  1. You must use a flash drive or SD card with a capacity of up to 32GB and be sure to format it in FAT32. It is not recommended to use an SD card with an OTG adapter for AMLOGIC control boards instead of a flash drive.
  2. Unpack the archive for your type of control board to the root of the flash drive (sd card).
  3. Connect the SD card or OTG adapter with a flash drive to the switched off miner.
  4. Turn on the miner and wait until the green LED on the front panel of the miner lights up (and remains constantly lit). This will mean that the firmware process has been completed successfully. This process takes no more than one minute.
  5. Turn off the miner’s power and remove the SD card or OTG adapter with the flash drive from the control board.
  6. Turn on the miner’s power and wait for it to boot, then use VNISH TOOLKIT following instructions in point 9 you need to manually specify the model of your miner in the “Miner model” field and install the pre-downloaded vnish L9 firmware for your type of control board.
  7. * If the required model is not available in the “Miner model” menu, then you need to leave “DETECT AUTOMATICALLY” and install previously downloaded vnish firmware for T21.
Next, you will need to additionally update the miner via the Web interface with the pre-downloaded Vnish firmware for L9 and the control board type download UPDATE Vnish L9 web nand UPDATE version from our vnish website.
